Q.  Mortgage Management, unlike Mortgage Broking, is a niche market. How did you find yourself here?

I have been in the Mortgage Broking Industry for over 30 years. During that time, I have held several roles in Aggregation, Lending, and a role as Mentor to new industry brokers.  In working for Australian Financial the ability to offer a higher commitment to the needs of the borrower – not to the money they’ve borrowed. What appealed to me is the Mortgage Managers' tendency to be smaller and the unlikelihood to face the impersonal, production line treatment of a big lender.

Q.  You said you've come a long way from aggregation to lending. Did you see a gap in the industry? Can you shed light on what the gap is and what drew you to it?

Given the extensive options available to today's consumers, the finance market is becoming more complex. Home mortgages are not as simple to secure and manage as they used to be. By utilising the services of a Mortgage Manager, we assist our broker colleagues in securing loans for clients not normally able to secure in the mainstream market. In turn, this gives them the opportunity to grow their mortgage broking businesses and assist their clients in achieving their financial goals and dreams.

Q.  What are your immediate goals for Australian Financial and our current clients?

Most importantly, I'm here to reaffirm that Australian Financial is here to support our Mortgage Brokers with a range of options that help expand their business. In doing so, I would like to focus our attention on growing our reach, so our clients have more options and better lending solutions. We grow with our clients.
